Lasting Impressions
                    Photography By Jim Primmer

The August/September 2006 Issue of Dirty Linen Magazine contains 2 of Jim’s photographs in a 4 page article on drummer Dave Mattacks. Dave is a world renowned drummer who has played with Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull, Paul McCartney and Elton John among others. Dirty Linen magazine is an internationally distributed magazine on folk and world music.

John Troy, Dave Mattacks, & David Brown released their live CD with cd photography by yours truly. The cd was recorded at Captain Carlo’s, in Gloucester, and was delayed due to a severe power outage. These three are world class musicians having played individually with the likes of Joe Cocker, Jethro Tull, Billy Joel, Pousette Dart Band, Paul McCartney and many others. The CD can be purchased through (search on troy), or at any of the musician’s gigs. Check it out, I think you will be amazed at the quality of the sound & music not to mention the great photographs. From a personal standpoint it is always a pleasure working with this group.

John Troy’s new solo CD, Just When I Thought I Was Done, Is  available through or from John ( This CD features 2 photos (back cover & insert) by yours truly. In addition to the great photography, the music is pretty good also.

Guest photographer for the Fall 2005 issue of Northshore magazine.  Jim had approximately 12 photographs that were used on a multipage article on the town of Andover. His photograph “Annisquam Winter”, as well as a poem by Robert Frost, was also used as the “parting shot” on the last page of the magazine.
